1.Introduction of RT/Duroid 5880

Rogers RT/Duroid 5880 laminates are high-frequency PTFE composites reinforced with glass microfibers, specifically designed for demanding stripline and microstrip circuit applications. The random orientation of the microfibers ensures exceptional uniformity in dielectric constant. RT/Duroid 5880 laminates maintain consistent dielectric properties across panels and over a wide frequency range. Their low dissipation factor enhances their applicability in Ku-band and higher frequencies.


These laminates can be easily cut, sheared, and machined to the desired shape. They exhibit resistance to all solvents and reagents, whether hot or cold, typically used in etching printed circuits or plating edges and holes.

Dissipation factor of 0.0009 at 10 GHz
Temperature coefficient of dielectric constant (TCDk) of -125 ppm/°C
Low moisture absorption of 0.02%
Coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) of 31 ppm/°C in the X-axis, 48 ppm/°C in the Y-axis, and 237 ppm/°C in the Z-axis
